I was invited by author Claudia White to participate in this Work in Progress (WIP) Blog Tour. I’m excited to take part. This is a great way to offer authors the chance to share examples about upcoming projects, and also promote their current works.
But before I get into my WIP, take a look at Claudia's blog. I connected with her through a book store signing and have a copy of her book, Aesop's Secret. You can see what she’s up to in her WIP by visiting her post for the tour.

Now…here are the rules for the tour: Provide a link to the person who nominated you. Write a little about your WIP and give the first sentences of the first three chapters. then nominate four other writers to do the same.
My Work in Progress:
I am currently writing book 2 in the Vacancy series. At this point I don't know if it will be a trilogy or not. It continues the story of Martin from the first book, into the second year of being alone after the virus struck.
Here are the snippets from the first chapters.
Chapter 1:
Darkness, that is all he could see before him. Standing on the fifth floor balcony Martin could see far in the distance, miles of open land spread out before him, miles of darkness.
Chapter 2:
He was not expecting any guests, especially in the middle of winter.

Chapter 3:
Martin stopped on the gravel road. The house was still a hundred yards down the lane. He thought he saw someone running from the field then disappear behind the house.
Now I’d like to tag some wonderfully talented authors to join the tour.
